Lynnwood Pride Announces Non-Profit Status

Location organization Lynnwood Pride announced this week that they are in the process of obtaining their federal 501(c)3 non-profit status with a mission to welcome a safe and supportive LGBTQAI+ community space within the City of Lynnwood where all LGBTQAI+ families and allies can gather to live, work and play.

The organization is scheduling Lynnwood’s first large Pride event to be held at the Lynnwood Event Center on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

“We hope organizations and businesses will consider supporting, sponsoring or volunteering in increasing awareness and acceptance of our diverse community,” the group said in a statement.

Cities across Snohomish County will celebrate LGBTQAI+ Pride throughout the month of June.

“We encourage the community to support and attend their local Pride events, including Everett Pride, Edmonds Pride, Snohomish Pride, Lake Stevens Pride, Monroe Pride, and Arlington Pride,” Lynnwood Pride organizers said.

Lynnwood Pride is encouraging outreach in the LGBTQAI+ community by asking organizations and businesses in Lynnwood to raise a Pride flag in their windows all year. Lynnwood Pride will feature these supportive businesses throughout the year on their new website.
