Catch The Lion King in Seattle This December

The beloved Broadway musical Disney’s The Lion King returns to Seattle this month at the Paramount Theatre (911 Pine Street Seattle, WA 98101) for a limited five-week engagement through Jan. 4, 2026.

Presented by Seattle Theatre Group (STG) and Broadway at The Paramount, the Tony Award-winning musical transforms the stage into the African savannah with vibrant costumes, dynamic puppetry and stirring songs. Effervescent colorful displays of love, joy, music, and humanity fill the aisles and stage with palpable excitement for “The Circle of Life.” More than 100 million people worldwide have experienced The Lion King production’s mix of theatrical innovation, music and storytelling.

The Seattle Lesbian went backstage at the Paramount Theatre to meet Peter Hargrave (Scar) and David D’Lancy Wilson (Mufasa). We also toured the props, costumes and orchestra pit where we heard the magic happen – one instrument at a time – with flutist Darlene Drew.

Accessibility is a priority for this engagement. STG has scheduled a range of accommodations including audio-described performances (Dec. 7, Dec. 13, Dec. 14), open-captioning and closed-caption options, ASL-interpreted performances, and a sensory-friendly performance on Dec. 13 at 2 pm.

This show has been known to sell out in advance so securing ticketing is encouraged. For patrons planning to attend, STG recommends checking its website or box office for the most up-to-date performance times and availability. Recommended for ages 6 and up. All guests entering the theater, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
